Tinapang Bangus in Teriyaki Sauce

Tinapang Bangus in Teriyaki Sauce

🐟Ingredients :
1 whole tinapang bangus, sliced
2 tbsp cooking oil

Teriyaki Sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp grated ginger or powder
2 cloves garlic, 1/4tsp powder
4 tbsp water
1 tsp cornstarch or cassava flour(for slurry, mix in tbsp of water)

Garnish
1 tsp sesame seeds
2 stalk chopped spring onions or chives

How to Cook:
1️⃣ Fry the Bangus
Heat oil in a pan.
Fry bangus pieces until edges are slightly crispy.
Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Make the Sauce
In the same pan, or sauce pan, mix altogether the ingredient except the slurry.
Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tbsp water, then add to sauce.
Cook until thick and glossy.
You want a smooth coating consistency — not too thick, not watery.

3️⃣ Glaze
Return the fried bangus to the pan.
Spoon sauce over the fish.
Simmer for 10-20 seconds only.

4️⃣ Plate and Garnish
Transfer to plate.
Pour remaining sauce on top.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
