🐟🥦Ingredients:
2–3 pcs tinapang tilapia fillet, sliced into bite-size pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1–2 tbsp soy sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tsp sugar
Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
½ tbsp cassava starch, dissolved in 2 tbsp water (slurry)
200 ml water
300g Broccoli
👩 How to Cook🐟🥦
1️⃣ Fry the Tinapang Tilapia
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Fry the tinapang tilapia fillet until lightly golden and slightly crisp on the outside.
Remove from pan and set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté the Garlic
In the same pan, reduce oil if needed.
Sauté minced garlic until fragrant and lightly golden.
3️⃣ Add the Broccoli
Add the washed broccoli florets.
Stir-fry for about 1–2 minutes.
4️⃣ Season
Add oyster sauce and soy sauce.
Mix well to coat the broccoli evenly.
5️⃣ Simmer
Pour in 200 ml water.
Allow to simmer for 5–8 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still slightly crisp.
6️⃣ Thicken the Sauce
Add the cassava starch slurry.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
7️⃣ Combine the Fish
Gently add the fried tinapang tilapia back into the pan.
Simmer for about 5-10 seconds only — just enough to coat the fish with sauce.
Avoid overcooking to keep the fish intact and crispy.
8️⃣ Serve
Transfer to a serving plate and serve hot with steamed rice.
